What a welcome contrast.

Burgundy has a lot more to offer the tourist than its famed vineyards and their products. The Morvan District of Burgundy is one of the most pristine forested areas in Europe, if not the world. A large segment is protected by the Parc du Morvan. Not to be found in the typical tourist's guidebook is the tiny farming hamlet of Brazey en Morvan. In recent years, British expat Marina has purchased and converted what was an abandoned farm property into her home and a very classy Bed and Breakfast. Marina's hospitality is infectious. You're not a guest, you're home! Jeanette and I stayed for an entire week at Marina's and not only were royalty, we were able to be "pioneer" tourists in this far corner of France. What a welcome contrast to Paris or Lyon! Travel plans for next year not only include Marina's, but may actually take Paris off our itinerary!
